Description
Manufacturer Part Number: BAYCOVR800A
The BAYCOVR800A is a silver wall cover plate offered for selected Trane thermostat installations. Its wider rectangular footprint provides a finishing accessory around the control, with published dimensions of 7.38 inches wide by 6 inches high. The dedicated application list names TCONT624AS42DA, TCONT724AS42DA, TCONT824AS52DA, and TCONT850AC52UA. It is a wall cover plate rather than an electronic control or a lockable thermostat enclosure, making it appropriate for listings focused on installation finishing and compatible thermostat accessories.
The handbook also references BAYCOVR800A on the newer XL 824 and ComfortLink II thermostat pages, so compatibility appears in more than one place within the source. Because the dedicated plate list uses older thermostat suffixes, the exact current pairing should be confirmed before ordering. The catalog does not specify plate depth, material, mounting hardware, or a protective locking function. Descriptions should keep those details open rather than assuming them, while retaining the verified silver finish and stated width and height.
