The DuraComm LPB-15 is a desktop switching power supply designed for two-way radios, radio repeaters, telecommunications equipment, and other compatible 12V DC applications. It converts a universal AC input of 90 to 264V AC into a regulated 13.8V DC output, supplying 12A continuously and up to 14A maximum according to the manufacturer's owner's guide. Its integrated, replaceable 12V, 7Ah sealed lead-acid battery automatically provides backup power when the AC supply is interrupted, helping keep connected communications equipment operating.

The LPB-15 also incorporates a battery charger that automatically recharges the internal battery when AC power returns. Its built-in electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter helps reduce electrical noise, while a thermal circuit breaker protects the DC output against short circuits and overloads. A front-panel DC output indicator makes it easier to check operating status, and compatibility with DuraComm LPH radio hoods allows the unit to be integrated into custom mobile-radio installations.
