Description

RFWSOLKIT offers custom built solar solution to meet different low load requirements. Choose your preferred components and custom build a total power solution. It is recommended for remote low power wireless sites.

Step 1
Select your preferred output voltage. The system allows for 12, 24 & 48VDC configurations as per your system requirements. Note: Other output voltages can be provided as per your request.

Step 2
Select your solar panel power ratings. The panels come in different ratings and the packaging includes the associated mounting kits.

Step 3

Select battery options depending on equipment run time. The setup should at the very least offer 24hours uninterrupted run time.

Step 4
Select extra enclosure space. Choose your desired additional space for extra communication equipment.

The selected unit comes with an appropriate charge controller for the connected equipment, terminal block & circuit breakers all properly mounted within the enclosure. Cables and cable connectors are also included. Extra space can be offered within the NEMA enclosure for other customer equipment as needed.

Typical Examples For Power Consumption Estimate:

Case 1

Assuming 3 Hikvision cameras each rated (12VDC, 0.5A) and powered using a POE enabled 4G LTE cellular router to backhaul rated at (12VDC, 2A) and a DVR/NVR rated at (12V,1A) we have a total consumption of 36W resulting in a daily consumption of about 864Wh. To achieve 24/7 round the clock operations in an area like Chandler, AZ receiving an average of 6.5-7 hours sun hours daily as shown in the image of sun hours by NREL we would need the following:

Case 1 (Remote Video Surveillance)
Panel Rating 160W (Can also be achieved using 2*80W to limit single panel size for easier mounting)
Battery Capacity 200Ah (Can be achieved using various battery configurations i.e. 4*50Ah/ 2*100Ah)
Charge Controller 20A
Additional Enclosure Space Several configurations that can be agreed on upon request.
Accessories Additional accessories such as mounting kits, DC breakers, cables and connectors are added as appropriate.

Case 2

Solar powered LoRaWAN gateway for sensors enabling Smart Agriculture or other IoT applications with 2 day autonomous operation. Gateway is rated (12VDC, 0.5A) powered by a PoE injector with and additional backhaul cellular router rated 12VDC, 0.5A. Total power consumption will be 12W giving 288Wh for a days operation. Using the sun hour average for Arizona which is 6.5h to provide two day autonomous operations we therefore need the following:

Case 2 (Remote Video Surveillance)
Panel Rating 60W Single panel
Battery Capacity 100Ah (Can be achieved using various battery configurations i.e. 4*50Ah/ 2*100Ah)
Charge Controller 10A
Additional Enclosure Space Several configurations that can be agreed on upon request.
Accessories Additional accessories such as mounting kits, DC breakers, cables and connectors are added as appropriate.
