The RMBC from DuraComm is a solid-state battery backup module designed to work with compatible DuraComm RM-series rack-mount power supplies. It provides automatic transfer to an external backup battery when the primary DC supply fails, helping maintain power to connected radio communications, telecommunications, and other critical electronic equipment. Its dual Schottky diode design provides protective isolation without relying on mechanical relays.

Designed for mounting on the rear panel of compatible RM-series power supplies, the RMBC also provides a low-current float-charge function to help maintain the external battery when normal power returns. It supports systems operating across a broad DC voltage range, making it suitable for compatible 12V, 24V, and 48V applications. The module is a battery backup accessory rather than a standalone AC-to-DC power supply, and a compatible main power supply and external battery are required for operation.
