The L-Com BT-CAT5-P1 is a commercial-grade single-port CAT5 passive Power over Ethernet (PoE) midspan/injector designed to deliver DC power to compatible PoE network equipment through standard Ethernet cabling. It supports the IEEE PoE pinout, using pins 4 and 5 for positive power and pins 7 and 8 for negative power. The unit can also be used as a passive tap to extract injected DC power for compatible non-PoE equipment.
The BT-CAT5-P1 features an industrial-grade cast-aluminum housing, shielded RJ45 connectors, integrated lightning and surge protection, and a dedicated grounding terminal. Its passive design is suitable for wireless LAN access points, bridges, IP surveillance cameras, VoIP phones, Wi-Fi amplifiers, and other compatible network equipment.
