The AL-CAT5HPJW is an advanced outdoor lightning surge protector that features a three-stage protection system. The first stage utilizes a differential gas discharge tube, followed by current limiting resistors, and concludes with a high-speed, low capacitance diode clamp array for effective surge suppression. The power path includes a similar three-stage design with filter inductors and bi-directional clamping diodes. This device is also compatible with Cisco legacy network appliances and is available in an indoor version (HGLN-CAT5-HP).
