The BT-CAT6P1HPW48W Outdoor Single-Port Gigabit CAT6 Midspan/Injector is a commercial-grade Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) device designed to provide DC or AC power to a single 10/100/1000 Base-T PoE-enabled network appliance. Unlike cheaper models that use transformers on only two data pairs, this unit utilizes Gigabit transformers on all four pairs, ensuring better performance.

It supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at PoE standards using Mode B (Pins 4/5 and 7/8) and can be user-configured via internal jumpers to supply power across all four data pairs simultaneously (Pins 1/2, 3/6, 4/5, and 7/8). This feature allows higher power delivery and reduces resistive power losses by half. Compatible with most IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at network appliances, it supports both positive and negative DC, as well as AC power up to 60 volts, eliminating the need for AC outlets at each network appliance location. An integrated PTC fuse automatically cuts power in the event of a short and resets once the short is cleared.
