Kyocera 12 Volt, 135 Watt Solar Module w/ J-Box (2 Modules)
The Kyocera KD135SX-UPU is almost identical to the KD135GX-LPU except is has a standard screw terminal junction box instead of the MC4 connector cables. This panel replaces the older KC/KD-125 and 130's. This is the largest solar panel that can ship UPS. this item includes two 135Watt modules allowing for series mounting to yield 24VDC system voltage or parallel mounting to double the charging capacity of a 12V system.
Kyocera's advanced cell processing technology and automated production facilities have produced a multi-crystalline solar cell with an efficiency of over 15%. All modules are constructed using a tempered glass front, EVA pottant and a PVF backing to provide maximum protection from the severest environmental conditions. The excellent efficiency of Kyocera Solar modules translates to both more wattage per square foot and lower mounting structure cost.
The Kyocera KD135SX is one of the few higher power solar panels still available with a junction box, rather than the MC4 cables. The KD series junction box versions all have a ~5" x 5" junction box with screw terminals on the back of the panel for wiring. This is a standard 12 volt panel suitable for almost any environment or application. This panel replaces the older KC-125 and KC-130 panels but has a slightly different and heavier frame size.
New frame technology allows for end mounting under 2400 Pa (50 psf) or wind speeds of 130 mph (ASTM E1830) and traditional mounting under 5400 Pa (113 psf) to support increased snow load.
These cells are encapsulated between a tempered glass cover and a pottant with back sheet to provide efficient protection from the severest environmental conditions. The entire laminate is installed in an anodized aluminum frame to provide structural strength and ease of installation.
